Elliott Yamin Movin' On Up!

Elliott Yamin has a lot to smile about these days. As Elliott continues his unbelievable smokin hot live concert tour (if you haven't seen Elliott Live, run don't walk..E is terrific!), check out live performances and a wonderful interview at Rehearsals.com and iTunes. Rg captured the moving, mesmerizing soulful beauty and power of Elliott's live New York performance in his eloquent recap:
'The audience went insane - I can't remember the last time I was at a concert and the crowd screamed that loud. Elliott took a moment to bask in the glory and dove right into the lyrics of his opening number. His voice live hits you like a sucker punch and I was nearly taken aback. I had been told by so many of y'all what a difference his voice was live, and you weren't kidding. As his singing soars up and out, you soar right along with him. It was pitch-perfect and

exuded confidence, commitment, and sexuality.. To those of you who have yet to see him, you are in for one heck of a ride. He pours every ounce of strength, heart and soul from that delicate frame of his into every note and lyric of his songs. His tone is rapturous and his trademarks that I've mentioned before: the growl, scats, bent tones and licks work beautifully. He owned that stage and moved through his set like an adored rock star. And now, he makes it looks so easy. The artist has arrived.' And Elliott has gone Gold! The Croshal Entertainment Group reports: 'Elliott Yamin's hit single "Wait for You" jumped 49 spots from 80 to 31 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart. In addition, Elliott's Album has sold over 250,000 copies going from 67 to 20 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart! The single Wait for You has officially gone gold, selling 100,000 downloads.' Elliott is planning another tour soon, recording a Christmas album, doing an international USO tour later in the year, and looking ahead to the next album. Elliott is '"the first high-profile "Idol" finalist to spurn contract offers from major record companies to navigate the tricky, but potentially profitable waters of an independent record label. "Elliott Yamin" is the first release on the revived Hickory Records imprint, a unique partnership between, among others, his publisher, Sony/ATV (which has the Lennon-McCartney catalog), his manager, Jeff Rabhan, and cousin and co-producer Josh Abraham..The album is being distributed by a division of major label SonyBMG, which helps promote it to radio. The arrangement allows Yamin much greater creative control than any of the three major label offers he received after his "Idol" commitments ended last November. It also allows..
peace of mind for the unassuming young singer from Richmond, Va., whose heartfelt vocals won over millions of "Idol" fans last year..

'I'm a soulful singer. I always have a soulful stamp on things..I wanted to have different sounds on this record.'
